The Results of the 2025 Snomad Ski Resort Awards are...
The winners of the 2025 Snomad Ski Resort Awards are in - and they are powered by you, the people who actually ski there!
Unlike other awards that rely on paid nominations or allow resorts to collect their own votes, ours are determined by 140,000+ verified ratings from real skiers and snowboarders across the 2024/25 season.
This approach ensures that winning resorts truly deserve recognition based on guest satisfaction rather than marketing budgets or social media follower counts, providing you with trustworthy recommendations for your next ski trip.
Snomad awards Gold, Silver and Bronze across 20 categories, ranging from best value to the best for powder, and across three regional classifications: European, North American and Worldwide.
Now for the highlights.
Europe
Alta Badia (Italy) claims the top spot in Europe, this resort is a perfect all-rounder and has proved to be popular for an incredibly wide range of skiers and snowboarders.
Verbier (Switzerland) is Europe’s most highly decorated resort, winning three Golds: Best for Powder, Best for Off-Piste and Best for Moguls. These are three of the most competitive categories and are a major focus for advanced skiers worldwide. These are also the awards that are coveted by American resorts and skiers alike, proving why Verbier is a popular pick from skiers across the pond. Director, Verbier Ski Resort, Simon Wiget say "This honour underlines, once more, what gives Verbier its edge: an extraordinary playground forged for experts, for freeriders, and for anyone itching to try. And that’s only the start: Verbier shows many faces, often surprising, all waiting to be discovered!“.
Other European Gold winners include:
St Anton am Arlberg - Best for Après-Ski La Plagne - Best for Beginners Livigno - Best for Snow Parks Pal-Arinsal - Best for Value Schladming - Best for Groomed Runs Morillon - Best for Families Levi - Best for Quiet Slopes

North America
Grand Targhee Resort (USA) claims the Gold Award for Best Overall Resort (Worldwide). This may come as a surprise to many as the resort remains relatively undiscovered, particularly to UK skiers. However, it’s been growing in cult status among those in the know, and the stats don’t lie: 500+ inches of snow a year and an impeccable ratings profile across multiple categories.
However, it’s Revelstoke (Canada) that’s a standout North American winner this year. As well as taking the coveted Gold Award for Best for Powder (Worldwide), they walk off with 5 other North American awards, including Silver badges for Best for Experts and Best for Tree Runs. Ryan Melnyk, VP, Commercial Strategy & Marketing with RMR says "“These awards tell us what so many skiers already know, Revelstoke Mountain Resort is a place that is world-class, unique and spectacular.”
Other North American Gold winners include:
Vail- Best for Groomed Runs, Ski Schools & Accommodation
Aspen Snowmass - Best for Snowboarders
Kicking Horse - Best for Off-Piste
Copper Mountain - Best for Snow Parks
Steamboat - Best for Tree Runs
Big White - Best for Beginners
Deer Valley - Best for Eating Out

What Makes These Awards Different?
Unlike other ski industry awards that rely on paid nominations or allow resorts to collect their own votes, the Snomad Ski Resort Awards are determined exclusively by verified ratings from actual visitors who have experienced these resorts first hand. "This approach ensures that winning resorts truly deserve recognition based on guest satisfaction rather than marketing budgets or social media follower counts," explains Dan Lever of Snomad. "When real skiers and snowboarders decide the winners, receiving an award is truly an achievement to be proud of."
